Another big grace that we received at the end of last year was a new document that came out from the Congregation for Clergy entitled: Adoration, Reparation, Spiritual Motherhood For Priests.A copy can be downloaded by clicking on the link above.It shows beautifully the eternal truth that the only path to holiness and the only answer to the difficulties in life is a deep renewal of the spiritual life.The document calls for the spiritual adoption of Priests in particular, that they may be supported in their vocation by women consecrated to God.It calls for places of Perpetual Adoration to be established in the heart of every Diocese. Examples are given of many holy women: wives, mothers, consecrated Religious, who prayed and sacrificed themselves for Priestly vocations. We in turn would like to call all of you to take up this invitation and make a commitment to daily pray for Priests who have sacrificed themselves completely for the good of our souls. An ideal way to do this would be through Holy Hours made before the Most Blessed Sacrament. Wherever Jesus is loved, adored, and made the center of our lives, holiness of life, strength to bear life’s burdens, and vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life will flourish. We pray that the good Lord will use His Poor Clares to help fulfill this in some way, as He is doing even now. |
